2013 NATIONAL CHAMPIONAHIPS

Thanks must go to Tuggeranong Archery Club for again this year hosting the 2012 National Championships; it was a great success with outstanding performances and reflects the great effort by Tuggeranong and its volunteer members.

COMMITTEE NEWS

 Archery Australia is please to release the first edition of Committee News. This is a new E publication highlighting the activities of various Archery Australia Committees.

Thanks must go to Fiona Hyde who has volunteered to put this publication together.

We are also looking for a name for this E Publication and have established a competition, information can be found in Committee News.

2014 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Archery Australia is still seeking a host for the 2014 National Championships, the National Championships Operational Guidelines can be found at the following link –

The Archery Australia Board is current reviewing the format for future National Championships to introduce new events and shorten the program a few days.

2014 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS PROPOSED NEW FORMAT

Following many requests for the Archery Australia Board to look at a new format for the National Championships to Board has agreed to trial a new format for 2014.

The new format will be

Day One        

Clout

Day Two        

Practice and Registration

Day Three      

National Target Championship Single FITA 144 Round                   

National Field Championship 24 Target FITA Field (If entry numbers requires split shooting)

Day Four        

National Short Distance Championships FITA 900 (AM and PM depending upon venus size and entry numbers)

Day Five        

National Field Championships 24 Target FITA Field

National Target Championship Single FITA 144 Round (If entry number requires split shooting)

 

Remember the guiding principles for the National Championships that are:

 Events that cater for all members irrespective of Category or ability.

  • The rounds that are shot reflect the history of the sport and the general activities practised at RGB and club levels such as Target, Field and Clout

 Archery Australia has just released a program written by James Park to assist RGB, Clubs and Individuals to quickly and accurately calculate Ratings.
